Survival Fundamentals

Most new players down before round 10 because they spend points on wrong doors, skip Juggernog, or waste ammo spraying early rounds. This guide teaches the fundamentals that separate round-5 wipes from round-20 survival for beginners on any standard map.

Rounds 1-4: Maximize Points

Knife zombies on rounds 1-4 for maximum points per kill. Only use your starting pistol if overwhelmed. Do not buy any doors yet unless playing co-op where the host opens paths. Repair barriers when safe for +10 points each. Goal: leave round 4 with 3000+ points solo.

Rounds 5-8: Build Your Loadout

Round 5: Open the most important door toward Juggernog and Mystery Box. Buy a wall buy SMG or spin the box 1-2 times. Round 6-7: Buy Juggernog immediately. Round 8: Buy Quick Revive (solo) or Speed Cola (co-op). Leave one crawler at end of round 8 to prepare.

Rounds 9-15: Upgrade & Survive

Round 9-10: Spin Mystery Box for a better primary weapon. Round 10-12: Unlock and use Pack-a-Punch. Round 12-15: Buy remaining perks (Speed Cola, Double Tap). Learn a basic kiting route on your map. Do not stand in corners — always have an escape path.

  • Skipping Juggernog to buy weapons first
  • Full-auto spraying on round 1-4 instead of knifing
  • Killing the last zombie before buying perks/PaP
  • Standing still while reloading in open areas
  • Not redeeming free codes for Z-Tokens before playing
